Open Book is a tool for students of Japanese. You can input your own word list, and practice recognition of Kanji, pronounciation etc. in various ways.
Displays Kanji on any Mac, but needs Japanese system software for input of new Kanji. (This means that students can take home dictionaries and practice on their own computers even though they do not have Japanese system software!!)
All the words that you input, are automatically pronounced during practice!!
This product is shareware -- all the dictionaries that you produce with Open Book MUST be sent to me, so that I can pass them along to others who are interested. (A sample dictionary is included -- but it is very bad. You have been warned.)
Version 1.02. May be included on any non-profit CD-ROM made by user groups, etc.
Version 1.02 fixes problems with crashes on newer Macs.
System requirements:
At least a 68020 processor (such as an LC).
Runs on PowerMacs but is not native.
This software comes with no performance guarantees whatsoever.
